Standing

What SERVEOT will say about a partner.

Every directory in this trade hands out a badge. Almost none of them checks anything, which is why the badges stopped meaning much. SERVEOT uses three words instead, and each one says exactly how much has been confirmed.

Listed Most of the network

SERVEOT built the profile from what the company publishes about itself: their own website, their own minimums, their own words. It is real and it is useful, and nobody has endorsed it. The company has not been asked to confirm anything and may not know the profile exists until they are invited to take it over.

Claimed A growing minority

The company has taken over its own profile. Everything on it is theirs to correct, add to or remove, which means what you are reading is what they say about themselves rather than what SERVEOT read about them. That is a meaningful step up and it is where most good partners sit.

Verified Nobody, yet

A claimed profile whose company has sent identity and registration documents that I have checked by hand. No partner on SERVEOT holds this today. The process below is real and the first person through it will be the first, and this page will keep saying "nobody yet" until that happens.

How to get verified

Claim your profile first, then submit from your dashboard: a government-issued ID and, for a company, a registration document such as a chamber of commerce extract or a VAT registration. I read every submission myself. Nothing is approved automatically and I will come back to you if something needs clearing up.

What it changes

A verified partner ranks above a claimed one, and a claimed one above a listed one, when a search finds several that fit equally well. It is a tiebreak, not a ticket: a listed partner who is genuinely the best answer to a brief still comes first, because the brief is what a search is answering.

What happens to your documents

They are stored securely, used only to confirm who you are, and never shown on your public profile or passed to another member. Ask and they are deleted, at any time, via contact@serveot.com. The privacy policy has the full detail.

A profile about you that you did not ask for

If SERVEOT built a listing about your company and you would rather it did not exist, say so at contact@serveot.com and it comes down the same day. If something on it is wrong, that gets corrected the same day too, and the profile is held back from searches until it has been.

Reporting a profile

If a profile looks fake or a member behaves unprofessionally, tell me at contact@serveot.com. The guidelines set out what gets acted on.
